From my grandma’s kitchen… to complete chaos (the good kind)

Built by a chef. Backed by experience. Raised in a chaotic, beautiful kitchen.

Crazed Bakes didn’t start as a business.
It started with a recipe, and a woman who made sure no one ever left her kitchen hungry.

My grandma.

She baked from memory, not measurements. Everything she made felt like home, and her banana bread? That was the thing. The kind people talked about, requested, and never forgot.

That recipe stayed with me.

Meet the Baker: Tyra Stewart

Hi, I’m the one behind Crazed Bakes the mom, the baker, the late-night recipe tester, and the person who thought this would stay “just a side thing.”

(It didn’t.)

I have a degree in Culinary Hospitality, with a focus on Sustainability and Leadership, so food has always been more than just something I make it’s something I understand, respect, and love creating with intention.

Before Crazed Bakes, I spent over a decade in the culinary and hospitality world, working across just about every corner of it:

  • In-box seat catering
  • Fine dining
  • Bakery
  • Executive Chef of a restaurant
  • Multiple catering companies and private chef work
  • Hotels, grocery, concessions, and quick-service restaurants

I’ve seen food at every level from high-end plated experiences to fast-paced, high-volume kitchens.

And through all of it, one thing stuck:
the food people love most is the kind that feels personal, nostalgic and memorable.

What I Do Now

By day, I work full time remotely in corporate America as a Global Project Manager for a global HR consulting company, helping organizations do one thing really well "make better leaders."

It’s fast-paced, strategic, and people-focused…
and if I’m being honest, corporate America tends to steals a little bit of my joy from time to time.

But it also taught me how to:

  • Build something from the ground up
  • Lead with intention
  • Stay organized in the middle of chaos

Which turns out… is pretty useful when you’re running a business, raising four kids, and baking at all hours of the day and night.

So while one side of my professional life runs on meetings and timelines…
the other runs on butter, sugar, and a little bit of chaos.

And that part?
That’s mine.

Built Between Two Worlds

My life is full. In the best way.

I’m a mom to four incredible kids:

  • Three little ones under five (yes… it’s as chaotic as it sounds)
  • And one I inherited my brother/son now 18

They are my why, my motivation, and also the reason I’ve learned how to do a lot on very little sleep.

Crazed Bakes was built:

  • Between meetings and snack time
  • After bedtime, when the house finally quiets down
  • Early mornings before the day really starts
  • In the middle of real, busy, beautiful life

It’s not perfect.
It’s not quiet.
But it’s real and that’s exactly how this brand was meant to be.

What We Do

We make small-batch banana bread that refuses to be basic.

Every loaf is:

  • Baked fresh
  • Packed with flavor
  • Slightly over-the-top (on purpose)

From the classics to the chaotic:

  • Cinnamon swirls that feel like therapy
  • Chocolate-loaded, no self-control situations
  • Cream cheese-topped creations
  • Flavors you didn’t know belonged in banana bread… until now

We’re not here to make quiet desserts.
We’re here to make the kind you think about later.

Why We're Crazed About Banana Bread

Because boring isn’t an option.

Because “just one slice” is almost always a lie.

Because banana bread deserves more than being the thing you make when fruit goes bad.

We believe:

  • Flavor should be bold
  • Dessert should feel like a reward
  • And if you didn’t think about it later… we didn’t go far enough

From Local Tables to “Where Can I Find You?”

What started in my kitchen quickly turned into:

  • Selling at local games
  • Showing up at markets and events
  • Selling out faster than I expected
  • People bringing friends back like “you HAVE to try this”

Crazed Bakes grew because people kept coming back.
And that’s something I’ll never take lightly.

The Bottom Line

This started with my grandma.
It’s built on years of experience, a whole lot of love, and a life that’s busy, chaotic, and beautiful.

And somewhere in the middle of all that…
it became something a little bigger, a little louder…

and a little more crazed.

If you’re still reading this… yeah, you’re gonna want to try it go ahead and add a loaf to your cart.
